1. Dry Bag
On more than one occasion, I have been caught in torrential rain with no options to shelter up and the contents of my bag (which on one occasion included my Passion Planner) were soaked through. Lesson learned! Since then I have been putting my Passion Planner in a dry bag inside my bag. The peace of mind is worth the investment and the dry bag weighs next to nothing.
I bought this set of 3 dry bags which are totally waterproof and submersible. The smallest of the 3 bags measures 9″ by 15″ when flat and will comfortably fit a small or medium Passion Planner. I suspect it would also fit a large Passion Planner too (which measures 8.3″ x 11.7″) although I haven’t tried it and I suspect it would depend how chunky your planner has become!
2. Decorative Stickers
I am most definitely a minimal planner and like to see a lot of white space on each weekly spread so as not to feel stressed.
However, I do think that just a few pretty stickers help to improve my mood when I look at my ever-growing task list and help to make each and every week feel special and celebrated.
The Happy Planner Fun Florals sticker book is my all-time favorite set of decorative stickers.
3. Weekly Review
Anyone familiar with the Passion Planner will know that there are a number of review questions at the end of each month which encourage reflective learning and gratitude. Personally, I struggle to remember the details and lessons of the whole month and I was finding that limited the effectiveness of the review process for me.
One solution that I have found life-changing is the weekly review sticker by Chelsea Brown Designs. They come in a variety of colours and are available to fit all 3 sizes of the Passion Planner.
4. Erasable Pens + Highlighters
Plans change and a messy planner stresses me out. That’s not a happy combination! Erasable pens have become an absolute must for me and I also use erasable highlighters to block out time. However, I use regular highlighters to highlight completed tasks, because those tasks are done and dusted and that’s something that’s not going to change! These are my favorite pens:
These Pilot FriXion retractable and erasable gel ink pens have an extra fine point (0.38mm) and come in a 10 color set.
This set of Pilot FriXion erasable highlighter pens includes 6 bright colors and 6 soft colors.
Mildliners are my favorite brand of regular highlighters and this set includes all 25 unique colors.
5. Time Interval Block Stickers
As we have learnt from the Covid-19 pandemic, sometimes plans change so much that even our erasable pens need a helping hand! I was on the verge of abandoning my beloved 2020 Passion Planner and simply ordering a new one to start again, but in the end I resorted to stickers to cover large areas of blocked out time.
Chelsea Brown Designs offers time interval block stickers in time intervals ranging from 30 minutes to 8 hours. There’s a huge variety of colors and they’re available to fit all 3 sizes of the Passion Planner.
Alternatively, sheets of time interval block stickers which include a variety of time intervals are available.
