We always start our Dru Yoga and Dru Meditation practice with activations and they really are a magical beginning to any session. Beyond the physical benefits of any warm-up, the Dru activations can take you from sloth mode to eager beaver in just minutes! Honestly, they are a real mood-changer and energy booster. They are my number one recommendation to any couch potatoes battling inertia. Just start. They are easy, gentle and as energetic as you want them to be, but once you start you won’t want to stop – I promise.
I like to practice my activations at odd moments throughout the day – like while I’m waiting for the kettle to boil – and on all but the coldest and rainiest days I like to spend 10 minutes or so doing my activations in the garden. Even in the winter, the vigourous movement keeps me warm while I fill my lungs with fresh air and allow the greenery to heal my heart chakra.
